Being disconnected from our bodies is a problem that has a domino effect leading to core dysfunction and symptoms such as pain, leakage and prolapse.

We can become disconnected from our bodies for various reasons. The events during childbirth can sometimes leave women feeling traumatised. Fear of 'down below', what it looks like, how it should feel, what's normal and "am I the only one...?" are all reasons to lose confidence in our bodies.

This disconnect can happen through chronic pain, busy lifestyles, difficult past experiences, poor posture and even not knowing what's normal.

The pelvic floor and the core can be a taboo area. But approximately 1 in 3 women suffer from bladder problems and over 40% of people have bowel issues like leakage or constipation.

The solution to pelvic health problems is often quite straightforward.  This course lays out the foundational knowledge you never knew you needed to know. It's a safe environment where you can confidently learn how your body should normally work, what can go wrong and how to go about fixing your problems.

I think back to my time in the NHS where as physiotherapists, we took on the patient list for one of our urogynaecology consultants. Instead of waiting to see the consultant, patients came to physio to receive 3-6 months of guided pelvic floor and core training. Of the 450 patients we saw, only 12% of them went on to see the consultant. This speaks volumes!
