What to Expect from an Initial Consultation

The initial assessment takes approximately an hour and involves an in depth chat about your symptoms and how they are affecting you. We will also discuss your goals and set a treatment plan for the short and long term. Following this, we will take a look at your posture, weight bearing abilities, movement, muscle strength and neurological flexibility as well as the core and pelvic floor. This will give us a good idea as to the problem areas and how to go about restoring normal function.

How long will it take to recover?

This is a difficult question to answer generally. However, the initial stages of rehabilitation involve a reconnection with parts of your body that you may not have communicated with for a while. In the first few weeks, you will experience a sense of increased body awareness and this will have a big impact on your rehabilitation. We will then tweak your 'in clinic' and 'at home' treatment with each follow up so that you gain the tools to make your recovery swift and long lasting.
