The Active Mums programme is led by our team of specialist pelvic health physiotherapists and is tailor made for any woman following childbirth who is looking to return to exercise and fitness or start a new training programme

BOOK AN ACTIVE MUMS ASSESSMENT TODAY

Assessment : 6 weeks


Your physiotherapist will discuss your childbirth history with you and will ask you a number of questions relating to your bladder, bowel, core and gynaecological history. Your physiotherapist will complete a thorough physical examination of your posture, core, diastasis check, breath work, hips and pelvic floor. You will be able to discuss the findings and make a rehabilitation plan together. Your goals and plan can change and adapt as you progress.

Review Sessions : 2, 6, 10 & 16 weeks


You will have access to 4 follow up review sessions at regular intervals. Your physiotherapist will be able to answer any questions you may have and update your training programme according to your progress. Your physiotherapist will also communicate with your personal trainer or provide you with access to a female specific trainer if needed. With each session, you will be moving closer to resuming your normal training programme & feeling more confident in how to coordinate your core into your whole body exercise.

From your assessment, you will receive all the information you need. All the information is evidence based and in line with current guidelines and protocols. Whether you are returning to running the Park Run each week or getting back to power lifting, we have the information you need to take you through to success.
