"I have always loved helping people and this job lets me do what I love every day. I find this is a great priviledge which gives me a passion for my job. The area of pelvic health has been a taboo for so long but by providing a professional and sensitive environment, I hope to help those women who may otherwise suffer in silence. "
I am so excited to be welcoming Jo into the Physiotherapy for Women Clinic in Canton Cardiff from October 2019. Jo is a sports medicine physiotherapist with a specialist interest in women's health, particularly pre and post natal rehabilitation and female athletes. After graduating in 2005 with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy, she has worked in the NHS, private clinics and gained extensive experience working in professional sport. She is also a keen runner and represented Wales in basketball.
Jo went on to gain a MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2013. She is also a qualified pilates and sports yoga teacher and has found that merging these concepts into her treatment approaches leads to superior results. Most importantly, she is a mum of a one and four year old, giving her greater appreciation of pregnancy and post natal rehabilitation.
